👋 Hello everyone,

Harry S. Truman said, "It is amazing what you can accomplish if you do not care who gets the credit."

Here are some resources you might have missed:

📚 Book Summary:

This week's book is "The Anywhere Leader" by Mike Thompson.

This book is for leaders constantly on the brink of another crisis, striving to survive in our fast-paced world. It offers faith and practical strategies for handling adversity, uncertainty, and disruption and provides a blueprint for navigating challenges with confidence and resilience.

One of my favorite takeaways from the book is this:

"That's what determination is: the ability to pursue the right agenda to the end, even if it's difficult and costs you something in the process. To be an Anywhere Leader, you must be willing to take steps to address a problem or a challenge, even if it's not the easiest solution for you. Going for ease won't address the true nature of the problem. Even if the right move ends up being the hardest move, it's still right—and you still have to make it in order to meet the goal."

✅ Actionable advice:

This is why Harry S. Truman had the sign “The Buck Stops Here” on his desk in the Oval Office: to remind himself that as a leader, he needed to be ready to make difficult decisions. While you might not face decisions as monumental as dropping atomic bombs or sending troops to war, your determination to address challenging problems head-on, regardless of ego or popularity, is what makes you a resilient leader. True leaders run towards problems, not away from them, even when it comes with a heavy price.
